I learned today that one of my favorite local organizations (that would be JW Dundee's High Falls brewery) has opened a pub in the airport. Thats right - in the airport. Fleeting images of my actually visiting the Airport for one of my favourite (if not THE favourite) pints of local brew quickly passed as the article read 'The establishment can only be accessed by those with an airline ticket.' BRILLIANT!!! Oh the humanity, the airports director is quoted, "We want more and more local flare and to showcase what Rochester and Monroe County have to offer." No doubt passengers flying OUT of Rochester will wish they'd stayed longer. For those of us who live here however its a different story and the need more pressing. With JW Dundee being such a great company it got me thinking - why not set up a pub within the retail sector of RIT's college town? Come on, show off your talents to the locals where it counts and where it can be accessed regularly. I will certainly be supporting this brewery next time I fly out of Rochester, but want to do so here as well on a VERY regular basis. Please dont try to tell me there isnt a market. I havent met one person who doesnt love Honey Brown.
