Teaching Award!
I'm absolutely delighted to be able to tell you that I was announced the winner of the Provost's award for teaching excellence. The announcement was made on Friday and I celebrated accordingly! I love my job, and it's great to be recognized for this passion. My thanks to the committee members who were subjected to hours of class observations and of course my students, past, present and future. A tremendous honor.

Again Congratulations. I expect that most of the readership knows already, but Neil is one of the best teachers at RIT. This acknowledgment demonstrates that the system works well, and is one of the things that RIT does really well. It also is the highest honor that RIT can bestow, because the university insists on being a place of excellent teaching. And finally, I would say, it is a small payback for the extra hours and care that go into an exceptional learning experience.
Next achievement: world domination.
